Scholarship

Pennyweight Market is proud to support students from rural communities as they take their next step after graduation.

Each year, we award a $500 scholarship to a Grade 12 student who has grown up in a rural area and is continuing their education or training.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be:

A Grade 12 student graduating this year
Living in a rural community
Planning to continue to post-secondary education, training, or a career pathway

Application Requirements

To apply, please submit the following by email:

Your full name and contact information
Name of your school and community
Your plans after graduation
A written response (approximately 500–1000 words) that includes:

What you like or don’t like about growing up in a rural area?
Why is a small business important in rural communities?
What do you hope to do in the future?

Important Dates

Applications are accepted until May 1.
The selected recipient will be announced on May 15.
